Two Men Found Dead in Pico Rivera Home Identified as Father and Son

Third Victim Hospitalized Following Domestic Violence Incident on Silverette Drive

PICO RIVERA — Two men found shot to death inside a Pico Rivera home following what authorities described as a domestic violence incident have been identified as a father and son.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the men as Christopher Luna, 59, and Christopher Luna Jr., 35. Both suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives responded at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 6300 block of Silverette Drive after receiving a report of a death investigation.

Deputies found two people dead at the scene. Sheriff’s officials said one was considered the suspect and the other a victim.

A third victim was taken to a hospital. Authorities have not released that person’s identity or an updated condition.

Sheriff’s officials said the incident was related to domestic violence and that there were no outstanding suspects or threat to the surrounding community.

Investigators have not disclosed what led to the shooting or identified which of the two men was considered the suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing.
