LOVE LETTERS With BARBARA EDEN and HAL LINDEN at the Cerritos Center

Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts
Presents
Barbara Eden & Hal Linden in Love Letters
on Sun., March 24, 3:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Acting veterans Barbara Eden and Hal Linden pay tribute to friendship, love, and the lost art of letter-writing in Love Letters at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Sunday, March 24, 3:00 PM. Tickets start from $40 and are available at the CCPA Ticket Office, cerritoscenter.com, or by calling (562) 916-8500. Television icons BARBARA EDEN (I Dream of Jeannie) and HAL
LINDEN (Barney Miller) star in the Pulitzer Prize-nominated LOVE LETTERS, written by A.R. Gurney. The play follows the lives of two friends – rebellious Melissa Gardner and straight-arrow Andrew Makepeace Ladd III – and tells their story solely through the notes, cards, and letters they’ve exchanged with each other for more than 50 years. From second grade, through summer vacations, to college, and well into adulthood, the pair has spent a lifetime sharing their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, and victories and defeats – all through the written word. But long after the letters are done, the real question remains: Have they made the right choices or is the love of their life only a letter away?
Eden’s iconic role as Jeannie in the I Dream of Jeannie
television series brought instant stardom for the actress. She also appeared on How to Marry a Millionaire, Harper Valley PTA, Brand New Life, Liz Stonestreet, and Visions of Murder. Eden’s memoir, the New York Times bestseller Jeannie Out of the Bottle, chronicles her colorful life and remarkable Hollywood career that spans more than five decades. Actor-singer-musician Linden has 3 Emmys under his belt and a Tony for his lead role in the Rothschilds. The versatile star easily shifts from roles in theatrical and TV films to stage projects and nightclub performances. Linden has appeared in the Broadway productions of Cabaret, The Gathering, and The Sisters Rosensweig. His role on the immensely popular television series Barney Miller made him a household name, but Linden also starred on the television programs Come to Papa, Jack’s Place, and Law and Order.
