Commerce Chapter of the G.I. Forum Hosts Bob Archuleta Fundraiser

Commerce CA– Surrounded by fellow veterans, elected officials, family, friends and other well-wishers, state senate candidate Bob Archuleta held the first of many scheduled fundraisers to fuel his run for the November 6, election for the 32nd District.

The event, held at Steven’s Steak House, was hosted by the Commerce Chapter of the G.I. Forum. “We want to make sure we help support and promote the candidate that will support veterans, I have known Bob for many years and he is the candidate for the entire district with all matters, said Howard Hernandez, chapter commander.

Archuleta thanked the crowd of about 150 people and the G.I. Forum for their support.“I’m honored and pleased to have you all here,” he said. “I feel the spirit of unity in this room.”

He reminded the audience to vote for Democrat Vanessa Delgado in the special election on August 7 and for him in the general election on November 6.

“It’s important we support the Democrats by voting in the upcoming elections,” Archuleta said. The night’s theme — Veterans for Business Progress — was in support of Archuleta’s tireless work on behalf of veterans, in particular those who are business men and women.

Archuleta, a veteran himself who servedon a Special Advisory Committee on Minority Veterans Affairs and also served as Chairman of the U.S. Small Business Administration Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs has the knowledge and knows how to reach veterans of all services.

Bob served as a Presidential Appointee under the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, as a member on the Board of Visitors to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Congresswomen Linda Sanchez was quoted, “Archuleta has dedicated his life to serving his community and our veterans,” Sanchez said. “Bob’s commitment to our country is inspiring. His ability to make a positive impact at every stage of public service will make him an excellent adviser.”
