The Class of 2016 in the ABC Unified School District earned $23.2 million in scholarships and grants. This total represents an increase in over $7 million since 2014. Superintendent Dr. Mary Sieu said, “We are always looking for ways for our students to be college and career ready. Finding additional resources for them at each of our High Schools’ College and Career Centers have helped us move forward.”
Artesia High School’s 319 graduates earned $3.9 million. School acceptances included UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Sand Diego, UC Riverside, Arizona State University, American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Northern Arizona State University, CSU San Jose, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, CSU Los Angeles, CSU San Francisco, Cal Poly Pomona, CSU Humboldt, Manchester University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), University of Oregon, University of La Verne, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Johnson & Wales University, Providence, New York University, Tuskegee University, ITT Tech, Full Sail University.
Cerritos High School’s 536 graduates earned $3.6 million.
