An employee of the Los Angeles Police Department was found shot to death in a Whittier home Tuesday.
The shooting was reported in the 8400 block of Via Sierra Ramal in Whittier around 2:45 p.m.
When Whittier police arrived on the scene, they found an adult female shot. She was transported to Whittier Presbyterian Hospital, where she later died.
Police confirmed she was an employee of LAPD, but would not clarify if she was a sworn officer or civilian.
Whittier police are continuing to investigate.
