An officer-involved shooting has caused a massive traffic jam on the 5 Freeway in Irvine, according to authorities.
California Highway Patrol said the shooting happened on the 5 Freeway near Highway 133 at about 6:55 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene shots were fired, according to CHP.
Authorities could not confirm if there were any injuries.
