Staff Report
A fire damaged a house in Cerritos Wednesday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters went to a home on the 1900 block of Nancy Circle in Cerritos to fight an indoor fire when a candle was knocked over starting the small blaze.
Engines from three stations including Cerritos’ 30 responded and knocked down the fire immediately.
According to Sheriff’s officials at the scene, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Photos courtesy of Cerritos City Councilman Jim Edwards.
What’s the deal with the city of Cerritos cutting down a parkway tree and then not replanting it?
All the smack the city council and staff talk about regarding the ‘Urban Forest’ and we get this? From the looks of it, the tree was obviously cut down years ago.
Now look at all the other UNTRIMMED trees on both sides of the street.
With all the city council travel and hotel stays, over the years, as a community we need to ask our council whose bushes are getting the attention.
