Hews Media Group-Community News has exclusively learned and obtained a complaint filed by former Water Replenishment District Director Lynn Dymally against current Carson Mayor and WRD Director Albert Robles for sexual harassment and other violations.
The 11 page complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Dymally’s attorney Jason Buccat based out of Culver City, slams Robles with Sexual Battery (Civil Code 1708.5), Harassment (Civil Code 51.9), Gender Violence (Civil Code 52.4), and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress.
A person commits Sexual Battery when, “he/she acts with the intent to cause a harmful or offensive contact
with an intimate part of another, and a sexually offensive contact with that person directly or indirectly results.”
A person is liable for Sexual Harassment when there is a business, service, or professional relationship between the plaintiff and defendant.
Finally, Gender Violence is described in the Code as a physical intrusion or physical invasion of a sexual nature under coercive conditions.
The complaint also named 10 “Does” and stated, “plaintiff is informed and believes and based thereon alleges that each of these fictitiously named defendants is responsible in some manner for the occurrences here in alleged, and that Plaintiffs damages as herein alleged were proximately caused by their conduct.”
The incident occurred at the American Leaders Water Conference in Washington D.C. that took place in November 2013.
According to the complaint, Dymally began feeling very uncomfortable when they checked into the hotel and Robles had ordered adjoining rooms with a common door.
The complaint goes on to state, “early morning on Nov. 3, 2013 Dymally was returning to her room after dinner with Robles and others when Robles forced himself on to Dymally so hard that it pushed her back into her room and onto the bed. Robles began to grope Dymally and proceeded to rip her clothes off. Dymally attempted to stop him however Robles was too strong and proceeded to get on top of her and tried to have intercourse with her.”
Dymally claimed that after he tried to force himself onto her, Robles passed out.
Dymally was able to escape the situation showered and went to attend the conference that morning.
The night of Nov. 3 Robles once again “attempted to touch Dymally in a sexual manner, but this time she was able to thwart his advances.”
The complaint alleges that once they returned from the conference, Robles continued to harass Dymally while at WRD meetings.
HMG-CN contacted Dymally who said, “as a life-long community leader and role model, I would be remiss if I do not stand up against the injustice of sexual assault and harassment women encounter in the workplace. It saddens me even more that a man who once worked for and with me and had the privilege of being mentored by my father, the Hon. Mervyn M. Dymally, a great defender of women’s rights, would have such a lack of respect for women. My dad would be heart broken by Albert’s transgressions and encourage me to stand-up for women and myself.”
She went on to say, “Albert Robles has become a despicable person and public servant who lacks the basic principles of integrity and respect for others. Mayor Robles must be held accountable for his egregious behavior against me and any other woman he has violated. He owes, not only me, but also, his mother, sister, wife, and daughter a public apology along with sincere atonement. Albert Robles is a detriment to the public’s best interest, a menace to society, and a disgrace to his family, friends, supporters, colleagues, constituents, WRD, and the city of Carson.”
The complaint asks for a jury trial and for compensatory as well as punitive damages.
Texts into Mayor Robles were not returned at time of publication.
I don’t believe a word that she is saying. She is a very hateful and vindictive person. Why wait until two years later to bring this up. Just because he has become mayor of Carson. I have known her too long to believe a single word our of her mouth.

As someone who has known Lit’ Al for years and who also isn’t a fan of Lynn either (she’s friends with that Central Basin scumbag Leticia Vasquez), I have no doubt that what Lynn is describing is true (although Robles definitely needs to have his eyes checked).
Robles is the ultimate narcissist and is intent on inflicting his obnoxious self on every person he comes in contact with. His actual intent is to force everyone to have an opinion of him, good or bad, he frankly doesn’t care either way. That greasy midget needs to be noticed.

COMPTON : School Board Ousts Non-Attending Member

The school board has ousted board member Lynn Dymally, who has not attended a board meeting in a year.
The board declared Dymally’s seat vacant Tuesday night. “The seat needs to be filled by someone who is going to be here and participate,” said board President Michael Hopwood. “Our goal is to have the board at full strength.”
The district can appoint a successor or schedule a special election to fill the seat, county education officials said. Supt. Harold L. Cebrun said officials have not decided which option to take.
Dymally, 36, was appointed to the seven-member board in 1991. Her term would have expired in November, 1995. She was unavailable for comment.

This law fully supports women and children enabling them to file law suits against their sexual harassers. So, it is Lynn’s right and choice under the law to file a legal action within the 2-year period.
As far as the second funeral is concerned, those of us who know Merv, knew that he was a shy man when it came to anyone lauding him. If you were close to Merv you knew what Merv said and you knew what he desired…two different things. He knew in his heart of hearts that Lynn would go against any attempt to not give him a public memorial.. He did not want it shipshod. Just as he wanted an LAUSD school named after him in the community he represented over 50 years. Although he was shy man when it came to public accolades, he secretly desired them for he knew he deserved the honors. He worked hard for meaningful laws for education community improvement and equal opportunities as well as to defeat racism and discrimination. He knew Lynn would turn over every rock and climb every mountain and solicit every avenue to give his family, friends, colleagues and the public the memorial service he deserves. She did just that in California and Washington D.C. Both was so grand. And those of us who knew Merv well, and was taken into his confidence of the pride he felt in his works over the years knew he would be appreciative of the honors, plaques and recognition in recognition of his deeds and his works.
Merv loved the people. He loved being with the people…. listening to, them, debating and partying with them. His greatest pride was his children and when the people would come up to him and shake his hand or give him a hug to thank him for a service he rendered or bill he authored that affected them positively. He also took criticism as a tool to do better and strove to do the to right thing. He would be so proud of what Lynn did and would thank her profusely for the job she did. Well done Lynn! Well done!
I have known Lynn Vivian Dymally since she was 3-years old. She is opinionated, obstinate in her beliefs, and speaks her mind. But know this, she is not and has never been a liar. Jealousy, hatred and envy is not the way 3HDragon. Merv is and never was your dad. He was your mentor and he would back away from you if he knew you would slander his daughter. He loved his daughter with all of his heart and might and did all in his power to take good care of her, and mentor her as he did his son, Mark.

What else is to be expected from the likes of Rick Mayer, Merv Dymally’s partner from Golden State Consulting, of Santa Fe Springs. Mayer was upset when he lost his contract with WRD after Dymally’s death. Mayer could not stand on his own 2 feet and deliverafter losing his partner. His plan to get Lynn Dyamlly appointed worked. There is more to the Dymally clan than what you see in the media. Regardless of the accusations, his comments concerning the situation are very interesting. Any other citizen would have been arrested and charged with attempted rape. Besides that the truth be known it is Lynn Dymally that is currently being investigated by the FPPC for under reporting contributions and by the FBI for filing a false report with them earlier as well as the circumstances surrounding support from indicted Director Rob Katherman.

Well said Hannah. Guess who has to initiate the charges?? Lynn Dymally. She waited 2 years to file a civil “money” lawsuit against him and the mutli-million dollar agency she was elected to. In civil cases you need to provide clear and convincing evidence and there is nothing clear convincing about her claims.
1. Mayor Robles was drinking any time between 8am to 5pm, so much that he was drunk to committ an offense of attempted rape on long time friend/acquaintance.
2. After the alleged assault he passed out on top of her.
3. Lynn Dymally gets up and takes her clothes off and takes a shower while her attacker remains on the bed.
4. She goes to her meetings and stays in the same room that had adjoiining doors to her alleged attacker.
5. She never calls the D.C. police nor does she scream or yell (She is a Very Loud person) at her attacker.
6. She continues to serve on the water board and never divulges these claims to a soul.
7. She runs for election and never shares these lies.

Thank you apologizing for the vague comment towards the Dymally family. However, I must clarify your statement “Once again, i can tell by the way you’re writing you know how outrageous your kin (Lynn) is”; As I said to Mr. 3H Dragon, it doesn’t mean Lynn is lying because you don’t like her. If a woman waits 2 months, 2 years or 20 years doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Whatever her motivation, again, it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I’m unsure if you’re friends with Albert, but if you are, ask him what happened.
I’m somewhat vague because it is not my personality to argue or debate, be mean or malicious and I believe the truth will prevail. Many of the comments I’ve read are horrible and there should be better ways to express our opinions without attacking one another.

I wouldn’t be sure that truth will prevail. It very often does not. Especially when it comes to sexual accusations.
Friends of the criminal Robles should also ask him about his “sex offender” witch hunt. They should ask him if he thinks it is appropriate to harass people listed on his magic Sex Offender Registry, why he does not simply include other people who are clearly very dangerous. Until Robles and his co-criminals do that, we will all know that they are nothing bunch a bunch of immoral, un-American, harassing liars and their witch hunt has nothing to do with “public safety”, “protecting children”, or any of their other lies. Karma is coming for them. This lawsuit is a decent start but it needs to escalate.

I happened to stumble across this article and continued to read the blog to understand all the arguments about these lobbyist.
I found half of the comments to be empty and the others to be civic truths separate from the allegations about Mr. Robles.
The truth of the matter is… Mark was the water legislature for MMW. He wrote bill’s in the 90’s that supported water laws and policies for Ca. Mark was the water politician that his father supported. Not Lynn…she made that move to be relevant after her father died.

It’s evident that these are Lynn’s family members and Merv’s former staff coming to her rescue. Some of these individuals do not make logical sense and have totally crowned Ms.Dymally as the more achieved and valid politician. But hey, “the beat goes on” as the songs tells.
