On January 23, 2015, at about 3:30 P.M., the La Palma Police Department received a 911 call of a possible drowning, from a resident in the 8200 block of Del Oro Circle. A two-year old child had been found by a relative, unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool. A relative pulled the child from the pool, called 911, and began CPR. Police Officers arrived and continued CPR until Orange County Fire Authority Paramedics arrived at the scene and took-over life saving measures. The child was transported to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital and died a short time later.
La Palma Police Detectives and the Orange County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.
As of noon today, the La Palma Police wold not release the name of the victim, only that it was a girl.
