IQAir to Host Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for La Mirada

LA MIRADA, Calif. (Nov. 10, 2014) – IQAir (www.iqair.com) will host a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in partnership with Maddis Closet, a pediatric cancer foundation. The event will take place at its headquarters on Friday, Nov. 21, from 8-11 a.m. (or until supplies run out).
There are two goals:

• To provide turkeys to local families in need

• To bring awareness to the issue of pediatric cancer

“It is great to partner with a company like IQAir who cares about the health of young children who are being afflicted by childhood cancer. Cancer in childhood occurs regularly, randomly, and spares no ethnic group, socioeconomic class, or geographic region. According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 15,780 new cases and 1,990 cancer deaths are expected to occur among children between the ages of 0 – 19 in 2014.” Says Donna Holmes, President & Founder.
Individuals and families are welcome to stop by the company’s headquarters during the event to receive a free turkey. IQAir and Maddis Closet will give away a total of 200 turkeys on a first-come, first-served basis. The limit is one per household. Any leftover turkeys will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for distribution to hungry and needy people throughout Los Angeles County.
The event will take place in the parking lot of the IQAir Experience Center, 14351 Firestone Blvd., La Mirada, CA, 90638.
The event will also feature a complimentary bounce house and face painting for children. Free coffee and snacks will be available for all attendees. Parking at the event is free.
