Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a female adult that occurred on Saturday, September 20, 2014, in the 38000 Block of 3rd Street East, Palmdale.
Detectives have learned that at approximately 1:30 p.m., Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location regarding a “person not breathing” call. When deputies arrived, they found the victim in her residence with apparent stab wounds to the upper torso.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witness statements, the victim was fighting with her boyfriend earlier in the day. However, when deputies arrived, the boyfriend was no longer at the scene.
Homicide detectives have identified the boyfriend, Jose Martinez, as a Person of Interest. He is described as a male Hispanic, 37 years of age from the Palmdale area. He is believed to be driving a 2008 4-door Nissan Altima, blue in color, California license plate #6FFP144.
