Bellflower City Councilman Ron Schnablegger has been hospitalized after apparently suffering a heart attack, Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has learned.
The actual details of Schnablegger’s health condition have not been publicly released by family members or by a city spokesperson.
However, Ryan Smoot, who is an Assistant City Administrator did confirm to the newspaper that the council member was “taken to a hospital, but we do not have specific details at this time.”
Smoot said that the City of Bellflower would be issuing an official statement later.
“It is a sensitive situation,” Smoot said.
Schnablegger was elected to the Bellflower City Council in 2013 and is a professional property appraiser and is a 59 years of age.
