Charles Calderon Declares Candidacy for Superior Court Judge for Office 48 in LA County

Former California State Senator Charles Calderon from Montebello has decided that he wants to be a Superior Court Judge in Los Angeles.

Calderon filed paperwork to run for Los Angeles Superior Court judge in the June 2014 election, Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has confirmed with election officials in Norwalk.

Two other candidates will be challenging him in the June Primary Election for Office 48,  Efrain Aceves, and Songhai Miguda-Armstead.

Calderon’s has been part of a political family dynasty in California for the past three decades, and two of them current State Senator Ronald Calderon and former Assemblyman Tom Calderon who are both key figures in a massive criminal investigation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on various felony charges. His son is Assemblyman Ian Calderon who represents a wide area of Southeast Los Angeles County.
