Former California State Senator Charles Calderon from Montebello has decided that he wants to be a Superior Court Judge in Los Angeles.
Calderon filed paperwork to run for Los Angeles Superior Court judge in the June 2014 election, Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has confirmed with election officials in Norwalk.
Two other candidates will be challenging him in the June Primary Election for Office 48, Efrain Aceves, and Songhai Miguda-Armstead.
Calderon’s has been part of a political family dynasty in California for the past three decades, and two of them current State Senator Ronald Calderon and former Assemblyman Tom Calderon who are both key figures in a massive criminal investigation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on various felony charges. His son is Assemblyman Ian Calderon who represents a wide area of Southeast Los Angeles County.

Charles is not at all qualified to be a judge. He has his hands all over the workers comp scheme that resulted in thousands of dollars in bribes to Ron and Tom.Plus there is reason to believe that he and his brother Tom (then a Montebello school board member)may have used there political influence to to get leniency for their father who was convicted of child molestation.
