Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5) Lane and Ramp Closures
Full Freeway Closure: Thursday morning, Oct. 31 from 12:01 to 4 a.m.
Santa Fe Springs – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following lane and ramp closures on northbound and southbound Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5) overnight on Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30 to restripe lanes and to set-up concrete barriers (K-rail). The following lanes and ramps will be fully or partially closed:
Overnight, Tuesday, October 29 – 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
FULL CLOSURE OF THREE ON-RAMPS
Northbound I-5: on-ramp at Valley View Avenue
Southbound I-5: on-ramp at Alondra Boulevard
on-ramp at Carmenita Road
12 a.m. to 4 a.m.
FULL DIRECTIONAL LANE CLOSURE
Northbound I-5: all lanes from Valley View Avenue to Carmenita Road
Overnight, Wednesday, Oct. 30 – 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
FULL CLOSURE OF ONE ON-RAMP
Northbound I-5: on-ramp at Valley View Avenue
11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
ONE LANE CLOSED
Southbound I-5: from Carmenita Road to Valley View Avenue
12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. (Thurs. morning, Oct. 31)
FULL FREEWAY CLOSURE –Northbound and southbound I-5 from Carmenita Rd to Valley View Ave
The work is part of the $110 million Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) HOV Widening and Alondra Boulevard Bridge Project to construct one carpool and one general purpose lane in each direction, from North Fork Coyote Creek Bridge to Marquardt Avenue, reconstruct overcrossings at Alondra Boulevard and North Fork Coyote Creek, and realign and upgrade adjacent frontage roads.
