A home burglary in Cerritos on Wednesday afternoon has resulted in the arrest of five suspects near a residential area by Whitney High School.
A spokesman for the Cerritos Sheriff’s Department said that a home on Hart Place that was in the process of being fumigated was apparently targeted by thieves.
Five suspects were taken into custody, four at the scene and one at a nearby location.
A special air unit from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was deployed and landed at Whitney High School just after 3 p.m. to assist in the operation.
The names of the suspects arrested have not been released.
