Legendary NBA superstar Scottie Pippen has been questioned and released by law enforcement officials after he was suspected to be involved in a fight Sunday night at a Malibu eatery.
Pippen, who was a former superstar with the Chicago Bulls, was being questioned by members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department with possible charges of Assault With Intent to Commit Great Bodily Injury.
In a statement to members of the media on Monday afternoon, Sheriff officials say he has “been questioned and released from the Malibu/ Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station around 1:00 PM today.”
“He was questioned for about an hour and released. Station detectives have stated they want to ask witnesses further question prior to concluding their investigation,” said Sgt. Rich Pena.
Pena also said that the investigation is ongoing at this time and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives are attempting to obtain additional information regarding the incident.
