Rick Allen Walker: Wrong-Way Driver Charged with D.U.I. Causing Injury

A 54-year-old man was charged today with driving under the influence causing injury for
allegedly driving the wrong way on Highway 14 during Monday rush-hour traffic, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
Rick Allen Walker was charged with four felony counts of Vehicle Code section 23153(a), driving under the influence causing injury.
Walker was arraigned today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch, and pleaded not guilty in case PA077278, said Deputy District Attorney Ani Bailey. He is being held on $430,000 bail.
Walker allegedly was driving the wrong way on the northbound Highway 14 when he crashed into several vehicle. Four people were seriously injured in the collisions.
The California Highway Patrol investigated the case.
If convicted, Walker faces up to eight years in state prison.
He returns to court on June 27 for another hearing.
