Hospital Corpsman Third Class Earl Revolta IV (US Navy), attached to the USMC’s 1st Combat Engineer Battalion located at Camp Pendleton, was honored in the City of Cerritos on Saturday June 8, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel, where he was billeted for the evening. The mayor, Bruce Barrows, presented him with a city proclamation for exemplary service. Four of his fellow Corpsman attended the presentation to witness the honor. After the presentation, the four Corpsmen were taken on a walking tour of the city center and treated to lunch at TGI Friday. Other city sponsors of the Meritorious Corpsman are BJs and Mimi’s restaurants. Corpsman Revolta was invited by the city to attend the Bill Cosby performance at the Cerritos Center the next day. Navy Corpsmen attached to a Marine Corps unit are responsible for treating wounded Marines and civilians while deployed in a combat zone.
