The Cerritos College Foundation recently presented the Edison Green Jobs Technology Scholarship to eight students.
The Edison Green Jobs Technology Scholarship assists students with a financial need who are taking a green technology class. The scholarship has been made possible by a generous grant from Southern California Edison. As part of its Green Jobs Education Initiative, $200,000 was awarded to the Cerritos College Foundation to support green education and job training.
Daniel Perez of Downey, Theodore Rogers of Long Beach, Brian Trinidad of Long Beach, Charles Daniel of Whittier, Joseph Gonzalez of Norwalk, Oscar Hernandez-Ramirez of Chino, Fernando Bernabe of Lynwood, Craig Fedornak of Fullerton each received $1,000.
“We wish them the very best in their pursuits and trust that this scholarship will assist them in reaching their career goals within their chosen green technology fields,” said Steve Richardson, executive director of the Cerritos College Foundation.
