Tonight, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told members of the media that the Lakewood Sheriffs Department responded to the scene on Arbor Road after they received a “Gun Shot Victim call for service.”
When they arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Detectives learned that the victim was standing outside the residence at the location when he was approached by two male Hispanic suspects. At least one of those men shot the victim before they fled a short distance on foot westbound from the location. They then entered an older model white four door car, possibly a Toyota Camry.
The name of the victim has not been made public.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are en route to the 3700 block of Arbor Road, Lakewood, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arbor Road is located near the intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Lakewood Boulevard, near Simon Bolivar Park. Â There is no more information available at this time.
