8:59 PM PST BULLETIN #1:
Los Angeles City Controller Wendy Greuel has opened up with a razor thin lead over Los Angeles City Councilman Eric Garcetti in EARLY VOTING RESULTS that were just released by Los Angeles City Election Officials.
Here are the raw numbers:
ERIC GARCETTI 64,886 49.09 %
WENDY J. GREUEL 67,278 50.90
8:42 PM : NBC Los Angeles is reporting that “the campaign for Eric Garcetti is denying responsibility for Election Day robocalls telling voters that the LA mayoral hopeful has been endorsed by the president and will “fight for universal health care and gay marriage.” Garcetti’s office began receiving numerous calls from Angelenos Tuesday that automated phone messages were circulating as voters heading to the polls. “This is obviously a Greuel ally,” said Jeff Millman, spokesman for the Garcetti campaign. “We are not behind this.”
8:35 p.m.: Friends and Supporters of Wendy Greuel and Eric Garcetti are beginning to arrive that both respected “Victory Party’s.” Greuel is in Downtown Los Angeles while Garcetti is in Hollywood at the famed Palladium.
8:24 PM: City Election Officials are still in the process of tabulating the first set of results from Los Angeles City Hall.
7:37 P.M Los Cerritos Community Newspaper will be providing LIVE RESULTS from today’s historical election in the City Los Angeles as soon as the first ballots are counted. The polls close at 8 p.m. and the first returns should be available by 8:10 p.m., if not sooner. Who will be the next Mayor of Los Angeles? Eric Garcetti or Wendy Greuel?
Who will be the next city attorney, city controller, and members of the city council?
Stay tuned.
