A Sheriff’s Special Weapons Team responded to the 17900 block of Redwood Avenue, Bellflower, regarding a suspect who barricaded himself inside his residence early Saturday morning
The incident began when deputies received a Possible Burglary call. Once deputies arrived, they learned that a neighbor (31 yr-old male White adult) knocked on his neighbor’s door, entered the residence and stabbed him numerous times. The suspect then went back to his own residence and has since refused to exit.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
For the safety of the community, surrounding residences have been temporarily evacuated. A command post has been set up at Mayfair High School.
