SANTA FE SPRINGS –
A person was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a train at Marquardt Avenue and Rosecrans. The area is located where the city of Santa Fe Springs, Cerritos, and La Mirada intersect.
The event took place at 1:12 a.m., according to a member of the Whittier Police Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and no other details have been released.
The freight train involved was travelling northwest at the time of the incident.
