Members of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office have released the footage of the brutal beating of Kelly Thomas, a mentally ill homeless man, at a Fullerton bus depot on the night of July 5, 2011.
Los Cerritos Community Newspaper and other media outlets were sent a copy of the video on Monday evening. The altercation of the well publicized beating begins at 15:20 into the clip.
Fullerton police officer Manuel Ramos was charged with second-degree murder in Thomas’ death, and Cpl. Jay Cicinelli faces involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force charges.

I’ve been trained in the OC Sheriff’s academy and there is no excuse for what they done. Charge every cop there at the scene for murder. Fire the whole PD and bring in the sheriff dept!
I so feel for Kelly’s dad to hear him call out for his Dad!
I couldn’t continue watching, ,my hands are still shaking as I am typing this comment. I agree that all the cop on the scene is responsible and they should all be terminated with their chief & direct superiors resigning immediately. These people are hoodlums with badges and have no business protecting the public.
The OC DA deserves a best actor award for his dramatics and feigned emotion. He has sunk to a new low using his power to advance his political ambitions at the expense of two officers who were dealing with a rapidly escalating situation with a person who was known (by his family) to be very violent. His own mother had a restraining order filed against him. It is well known that he once physically attacked his grandfather.
