World-champion chorus to perform in Downey

When the Masters of Harmony perform, no one is left untouched.  Hearing the power and beauty of more than 75 male voices joined in perfect harmony is a thrilling experience.  From the opening curtain, this eight-time world-champion chorus radiates joy, enthusiasm, and love across the footlights and impresses audiences every time they take the stage.  The chorus’s repertoire ranges from Broadway show tunes to patriotic, jazz to songs of faith, American classics to novelty, and Bach to barbershop.  Precision choreography adds visual appeal to the music.

Renowned director Mark Hale has announced his retirement from the Masters of Harmony effective July 10, 2012, after leading the chorus to four consecutive international gold medals.  Mr. Hale is a much-sought-after coach, music arranger and judge.

The last Southern California public performance of the Masters of Harmony with Mark Hale as director will be April 14 at the Downey Civic Theatre with performances at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Good seats are still available for online purchase at http://www.downeytheatre.com/event/details/26 or by calling the Downey Civic Theater at (562) 861-8211.

Don’t miss the Masters of Harmony and two championship quartets at the Downey Civic Theatre on Saturday, April 14, 2012, for performances you will long remember.
