Several news outlets are reporting that a shooting occurred near Maya Angelou High School and that the school is on lockdown.
Details regarding the shooting were not available, but school police said the victim is an adult and not connected to the school.
The shooting occurred just north of the high school, located a few blocks east of the 110 Freeway, near 52nd Street and Towne Avenue.
