An adult male was killed in Downey early Sunday morning after the car he was driving was ejected from a Honda Accord after it crashed into a large pole that held the Bellflower Boulevard off-ramp sign on the 105 Freeway.
CHP officers are saying that the vehicle was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when the man went up a dirt embankment and hit the pole.
The name of the victim has not been released from law enforcement officials.
