Shooting location in off of Leffingwell Road
UPDATED AT 9:24 AM, Saturday: Detectives have learned that the victim was standing in the front yard of the location when unknown suspect(s) shot the victim multiple times in the torso. The victim was found with a handgun which was recovered at the scene of the shooting. Law enforcement officials are still at the scene and several blocks around the murder scene are still closed to traffic.
Original Post: Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are en route to the 12000 block of Bonavista Lane, unincorporated Whittier, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
