Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded a man in the Target parking lot in Norwalk Thursday morning. No deputies were hurt, a sheriff’s department official said.
Deputies were dispatched to the Taregt on Firestone Boulevard shortly after 9 a.m. when they got a call about a man there with a gun, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Sgt. Gregory Arnold said.
Deputies encountered the man and shot him, according to Arnold.
Arnold said a gun was recovered at the scene, but it’s unclear if the man fired at deputies.
The man was taken to the hospital, but his condition wasn’t immediately available, Arnold said.
