Hews Media Group-Community News has learned Commerce Councilwoman Tina Baca Del Rio, a three-time violator of campaign finance laws, was allowed to pay a fine that amounts to a slap on the wrist.
Councilman Ivan Altimirano received equal treatment and had to pay only $9,000 down from $15,500
Commerce residents are outraged that the councilwoman was give a $49,000 break on the fine and equally outraged over Altamirano’s reduced fine.

Both reportedly gave their checks to the FPPC today.
