A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a 1-year-old girl in Compton, authorities said.
Ray Howard Patterson was taken into custody Monday afternoon in Compton, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Det. Todd Anderson. According to online sheriff’s department records, Patterson is being held without bail.
Patterson is the suspected gunman in the Feb. 9 shooting of Autumn Johnson in the 300 block of North Holly Avenue. Investigators believe about 7 p.m., Patterson walked up to a converted garage and opened fire. He then left in a blue Impala, authorities said.
