Steve Fermin Cerda of Whittier Identified as Murder Victim Shot In Whittier

WHITTIER (CNS) - Authorities today identified an 18-year-old man who was
fatally shot in Whittier while standing in front of an apartment complex with
some friends.
   Steve Fermin Cerda of Whittier was shot in the 6100 block of Norwalk
Boulevard around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday.
   Sheriff's Deputy Mike Barraza said an unidentified male suspect walked
up to Cerda and began firing. His friends were uninjured.
   No arrests have been announced.
