Several injuries sustained after traffic collision involving two vehicles and a bus at 7th Street & Atlantic Avenue

Today, at approx. 10:05 a.m., Long Beach Police responded to an injury traffic collision at 7th Street and Atlantic Avenue involving (2) vehicles and a LB Transit bus

* Based on the preliminary investigation, a small Ford and the bus were travelling southbound on Atlantic Avenue

* A 4-door Audi was travelling westbound on Atlantic Avenue when it collided with the Ford in the intersection

* The bus was unable to avoid the collision and struck the Audi

* The driver of the Ford, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital for treatment

* The driver of the bus, and adult female, and several passengers were also transported for treatment

* The driver of the Audi, an adult female, sustained minor injuries and declined to be transported

* None of the injuries sustained appeared to be life threatening

* The investigation remains ongoing

* The intersection was closed to traffic for approx. 1 1/2 hours
