A severe weather advisory has been called for the Southern California area on Thursday afternoon.
Flash flood warnings are in effect for central LA County through 7 p.m., and in west San Bernardino County until 5:15 p.m.
This area includes Cerritos, Artesia, La Palma, Norwalk, Santa Fe Springs and all of Southeast Los Angeles County.
This is the official notice issued this afternoon:
“Flash flooding is occurring or is imminent in your area. Immediately go to higher ground if quickly rising water is about to impact your location. If you are in a vehicle, drive away from flooded areas. If on foot, do not attempt to walk through flood waters.”
