Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to the 13900 block of Placid Drive, Whittier, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Friday.
According to Deputy Aura Sierra-Lidman with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The cross streets of the shooting is located near Imperial Highway and Meyer Road.
There is no further information available at this time.
Los Cerritos Community Newspaper will have additional details on the situation as soon as they are released by law enforcement.
