Scholarships Available for Artesia Students – Apply Now!

April 5, 2022- Artesia, CA.~The City of Artesia has partnered with members of the community, churches, civic groups, and businesses, to provide financial assistance and support the academic efforts of students residing in Artesia. 

The City developed the Scholarship Program to assist high school seniors who are pursuing a college education or seeking to develop expertise in a trade or vocation.  As a result of very generous monetary donations received from community sponsors, the City will award additional scholarships this year, for a total of $5,500 as follows:

Four, $1,000 scholarships

Three, $500 scholarships

To be eligible, students must reside in Artesia, have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, and be active in the community.  Students are required to submit an application, which includes an essay entry.  Scholarship applications are available at Artesia High School, Cerritos High School, Gahr High School, Tracy High School, Whitney High School, and the City’s website at www.cityofartesia.us.  Scholarship applications are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022.

The City of Artesia appreciates the support of this year’s sponsors which include the Artesia Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America Troop 693, Holy Family Catholic Church, and the Kakkar Family, for making these scholarships possible.  The City is pleased to continue to partner with the community, to further advance the future of the youth in Artesia.
