Walmart in Cerritos Recalls Over 6,000 Pounds of Pork and Turkey Sausage

This Cerritos Walmart, (WM) better get its act together. If this isn’t the most NON COOL STORY, to come out of Cerritos Towne Center???

Last year, purchased fresh dog meat and it was spoiled and got my dog deadly sick; WM never paid one penny towards the vet bill. I received no compensation. Wonder how many dogs died, cause of contaminated Fresh Pet lockers, which were closed for long long time?

Then had to file complaint in Court, WM was guilty of bait n switch pricing, I prevailed in this case.

Numerous times, had to make a report to Health Department, over rats/ mice entering the store and eating produce. Parking Lot : possum, rats, coyotes, foxes are rampant and eating parking lot dates. Where is the Landscape Maintenance, as the Long Beach Towne Center is clean and our Towne Center has been dirty since conception.

Just recently, Cerritos Planning got after WM for a lot of major parking lot violations, GM for Walmart said that they would bring the WM Parking Lot, up to code before city of Cerritos would issue a conditional permit for the proposed new outdoor parking pick up, compared to the former Gemco and Fedco stores used to have in Cerritos. This will aid on line shoppers. ( Please review link on city web site )

THIS IS VERY VERY SERIOUS. Now look at this mess WM is in with regarding this meat contamination product. Hope nobody is sick or dies from this. FYI: This disease travels from animal manure and sewer waste water and can contaminate many live stock.

Cerritos WM needs better quality control. For the life of me, can’t understand why they can’t stock the store, after hours and not during peak store hr…. somebody is going to be seriously in injured. Home Depot and Lowes both have to use caution when stocking shelves, why not WM? Where is our CCC for allowing their extremely negligent acts to occur on daily basis.

If community remembers, a couple years ago, some patrons were killed in the parking lot because of the parking congestion by the handicap Parking. Just recently I wrote letter to CPC to make improvements to the handicap stalls , to date nothing has transpired. Is our CCC waiting for another parking lot death?

Cerritos code enforcement is working diligently to cure WM violations; it’s a shame that some of the overnight nomadic RV campers have given this WM, bad names, nothing wrong with Parking Lot Boondocking for RV’s, but few of these users are so dirty, they are ruining the op for all. Many Prevost RV coaches, which cost over $1M use WM parking lot when working at CCPA.

Many unions will not support WM and many local residents are still upset, when the seated CCC were given gift certificates for shopping at WM in order to allow WM to come to Cerritos TC. Whisper groups stated WM bribed there way in to the city.

In past, both Fedco and Gemco ran noteworthy store pads for decades, both on the inside/interior. This WM location is failing and our CCC needs to be more progressive on code enforcement. With the closure of two nearby WM ( Haw Gardens-Norwalk ) Cerritos WM will be heavily impacted with increase of patrons.
