The City of La Palma is proud to announce that it has again been named one of America’s Best Places to Live by MONEY magazine for 2015. La Palma has previously appeared on the Best Places to Live list in 2013, 2011, and in 2007. For 2015, the City was ranked 43rd on the nationwide list that started with over 3,600 places throughout the United States having populations between 10,000 and 50,000. La Palma was also the highest rated community in California to appear on this year’s list.
Time.com/MONEY reports that, “La Palma is as close to “small town” as you’re going to get in the Los Angeles-Orange County area. Covering just 1.8 square miles, it’s Orange County’s smallest ‘burb. Just south of the Los Angeles County border, La Palma has easy access to the beach, the city, and Disneyland; Knott’s Berry Farm is right next door. And because it’s halfway between downtown L.A. and Irvine on Interstate 5, it’s a desirable location for commuters who want to save time in the infamous area traffic. But residents pay for the central location—median home prices hover around $600,000. La Palma has the lowest crime rate and the quickest police response time in Orange County…”

Agree, clean & honest city, without all of the traffic issues compared to Buena Park and Cerritos. Aging very nicely. Hope can come to grips on the boundary lines for all school districts.
—-Except for the driveway –pedestrian sidewalks and all of the utility crap located in the pedestrian sidewalks, make curbside walking impossible.
—-City needs separate Planning Commission and stop citation to the street- or driveway parked RVs.
—-Shame La Palma are non passable, all dry up from the drought, cant even play or picnic on the parks…….shame on parks department and La Palma City Council. Hope no wild fires ignite the parks grass fuel.
