Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives have converge at an auto tow yard in Azusa after the body of a dead woman was discovered in the trunk of a car.
“Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Gladstone Street in Azusa, to assist Azusa Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a deceased female adult found in the truck of a vehicle which had been towed to a tow yard,” Deputy Pete Gomez said in a statement to the media at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no further information available at this time,” Gomez stated.
The body was apparently discovered at around 5:18 p.m.
Several media outlets from throughout Los Angeles County reported on the situation during the 11 p.m. newscasts.
