Downey’s New Donut store. Glad to see that that former vacant car dealership is finally going to be home to a new Landmark donut store. Very well remember the one in Inglewood on Manchester, that was way before the 405 freeway was built. Seems like only yesterday, construction of the 405 was in process over by LAX and sharply recall looking down in to the dirt construction of the 405 with the Donut Marquee in the background. We stopped there many times, to get donuts before going to LAX in the 50’s-60’s. Glad Downey chose this iconic donut store, it’ll… Read more »

Randy Donuts Downey’s New Donut store. Glad to see that that Downey former vacant, used car dealership is finally going to be home to a new Landmark donut store. Very well remember the one in Inglewood on Manchester, that was way before the 405 freeway was built. Seems like only yesterday, construction of the 405 was in process over by LAX and sharply recall looking down in to the dirt construction of the 405 with the Donut Marquee in the background. Old tradition: since its football season – people have been known to toss a foot ball from across the… Read more »
