Downey, CA – On Monday, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) visited the Assistance League of Downey’s Second Tyme Around Thrift Shoppe, where she helped put up some of the shop’s autumn and Halloween decorations and costumes. While there, she met with former Assistance League Presidents Martha Sodetani, Charlene Roche, and Adele Alexander, and spoke by phone with Downey icon Dr. Mary Stauffer. The congresswoman wished Dr. Stauffer a very happy 102nd birthday.
