Cerritos Overnight Parking Permits Available Online

City of Cerritos overnight parking permits are available online as a convenience for Cerritos residents.

To obtain a one-night temporary online permit, residents first need to submit a registration form to the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station/Community Safety Center. Registration forms can be obtained at the Community Safety Center or online at parking.cerritos.us. Completed registration forms may be submitted in-person at the Community Safety Center or mailed to the Cerritos Community Safety Division, 18135 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos, CA 90703.

In addition to the completed registration form, each applicant must provide a photocopy of his or her driver’s license. The driver’s license number will serve as the Personal Identification Number (PIN) and is required whenever an online permit is requested. Residents are notified by mail once their registration form is processed and they are able to access the online permit system.

For additional information, call the Community Safety Division at (562) 916-1266.

This is an old regulation from the 1960s. Seal beach had the same ordinance, but has vacated said.

Online parking permits, is not an answer, parking ordinance is the problem. Ordinance does not help the others, what about US???

Cerritos still needs to go to public vote for parking etc.

It’s interesting to study data, MV crime is lower when we have a moratorium: Thanksgiving-Christmas; for overnight parking. When we have this parking ordinance enforced, are Auto thefts increase. Parking ordinance was running the city >$300K in red ink, just like the old red light cameras, another stupid GOP law, which has been vacated during past recession.

Think we should also look about parallel parking on aprons; that would free up some of the driveways.

When you have multi-generations living in a house, properties are staged w/ multiple cars, and there’s too many cars parked on driveway. It does not look good, plus create safety hazards. Parking ordinances have chased away the majority of the RV ownerships, creating empty RV parking pads.

Cerritos brags about diversity, but there is no diversity when it comes to parking plus RV ordinances, which have both created a real division in the city for parking & RV storage.

Many orig. non Asian property owners, had enough so moved away. In addition, all the surrounding cities around Cerritos are tired of Cerritos residents continuously ditching their cars in to their cities to avoid parking laws for 90703……..
