Ahead of Tump’s proclaimed clamp down on undocumented workers, California legislators have put forth a bill that will protect the estimated 2.3 million undocumented workers in the state.
The bill will prohibit state and local law-enforcement, school police, and security companies from using their resources to enforce immigration.
SB 54 will create safe zones in schools hospitals and court rooms.
The bill will prevent those agencies from giving out information to federal authorities when undocumented workers are released from jail or the hospital.
