Attempted Robbery of La Palma Business with Single Shot Fired

On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at approximately 5:10 a.m. a male employee of Cliff’s Hideway, 5442 Orangethorpe Avenue, called 9-1-1 to report that he had just been shot at. La Palma officers responded to the location and determined that the victim was not injured.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that an apparent robbery attempt had been conducted by an unknown male and female. The suspects pointed a handgun at the victim, who was standing outside the business. The victim, immediately began to scream for help and one of the suspects fired a single gunshot. The suspects then fled from the location in white colored 4-door sedan, northbound on Walker Street, near Orangethorpe Avenue.
