NORWALK (CNS) - Firefighters spent nearly an hour cutting a woman from
the wreckage of a car that crashed into a light pole in Norwalk tonight.
The crash was reported at 7:49 p.m. at the intersection of Alondra
Boulevard and Gridley Road, said Rey Dong, supervising dispatcher with the Los
Angeles County Fire Department.
A news videographer at the scene reported that a woman was trapped in
the front passenger seat.
The trapped patient was freed at 8:40 p.m., Dong said
The male driver got out of the wreckage on his own, according to the
videographer.
Two patients were taken to a hospital, Dong said.
A fire captain at the scene said their injuries were not life-threatening.
Firefighters used every extrication tool at their disposal to free the
trapped victim, the captain said.
