A dead body was retrieved by members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department from a remote area in the Angeles National Forest on Sunday.
A hiker walking near Inspiration Point in the Angeles National Forest noticed the body of a male adult in a ravine below the trail and called law enforcement officials for assistance.
Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Air 5 located the victim at approximately 1:20 PM.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was air-lifted to Farnsworth Park, Altadena, where he was examined by a member of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary cause of death is listed as trauma sustained during a fall from the steep trail.
The victim was a resident of Los Angele, but the name was not released to members of the media.
