Bertha Rath Valenzuela filed yesterday for the Downey School Board, Area # 7 Mrs. Valenzuela’s Grandchildren attend Downey school. She is retired from the LA County Office of Education in Downey. She is running on a platform of improved autistic services and re- opening Pace Elementary School in Bellflower to neighborhood students. Bertha is a neighborhood watch captain and a former Head Start volunteer.
