(Los Angeles) Country singer Tate Stevens won the second season of “The X Factor” on Thursday night during the finale televised live on Fox television.
Pop singer Carly Rose Sonenclar came in second place.
As part of the grand prize, Stevens wins $5 million, a record deal with Sony Music and a Pepsi-sponsored music video that will premiere during the 2013 Grammy Awards.
Sonenclar, 13, and Stevens, 37, were consistently the top two vote getters of “The X Factor” U.S. Season 2 in 2012. However, Stevens had been No. 1 in three of the five weeks that the show had announced the contestants’ vote rankings.
I’m happy for Tate Stevens who I knew would win my favorite primetime show The X Factor. I love watching The X Factor and other primetime shows when I’m home. Things have never been easy trying to get all my shows recorded on the daily. I get all my favorite primetime shows recorded every night using PrimeTime Anytime feature in my DISH Hopper, which records all four major networks nightly. I don’t have to worry about using all the DVRs at home and tying up all the TV’s at once for my shows. I get them recorded on one TV and the kids can still watch what they want and everyone’s happy. I didn’t know about this sweet feature until my coworker at DISH told me about it. No more timer conflicts or multiple DVRs, which created one big mess.
