ARTESIA >> Three male suspects robbed a bank in Artesia today.
One of the bandits fought with a security guard during the robbery, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. at the Hanmi Bank at 11745 Artesia Blvd., according to Lt. Eric Castano, watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood Station.
The two other robbers jumped the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money and all three fled in an unknown direction, Castano said.
The security guard was shaken up but not seriously injured, Castano said.
Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
